LIST COMES INTO FORCE AUTHORIZED HEALTH CLAIMS ON FOOD 14/12/12

Starting today enters into force of Regulation (EU) 432/2012 of 16 May, 222 authorizing health claims in food, after a transitional period of six months to allow companies to adapt.

The list of permitted claims will protect consumers against misleading advertising community and ensure a level playing field for business operators. This list of 222 has been authorized health claims based on scientific evaluation and is a result of increased use by the food industry claims such health claims on labeling and advertising, not always under the required criteria. Currently there are 2,500 other allegations that are being evaluated.

The Registry is the authoritative list of Union health claims and nutritional food and is published online on the website of the Commission.

WINERY ELECTRONIC BOOK FOR WINE SECTOR 15/11/12

The Basque Government will introduce the Winery eBook , a tool for the wineries as an alternative to traditional paper registers of the wine sector.

The winery ebook is a computer application for the registration of inputs and outputs that under Community law, must be implemented in the wine sector so that the information is current and winery known product traceability.

Basically, it is recording the actions taken in the hold (input grape pressing, vinification, bottling, oenological practices, processes, sales ....) for the system to update the capacity of the cellar and, with all this, you can find product traceability by visualizing all the steps.
