AESAN (Spanish Food Safety and Nutrition Agency) establishes management adequate measures to minimize food risks and to guarantee health protection to the consumer. In this context, the Agency has identified three specified cases where these measures have to be taken into account:

  1. Fish consumption recommendations addressed to sensitive population groups to reduce mercury exposure
  2. Vegetables consumption recommendations addressed to sensitive population groups to reduce nitrates exposure
  3. Crustaceans consumption recommendations to reduce cadmium exposure
